Leadership Stacking

Habit stacking has been described as by James Clear in his book Atomic habits has a technique for building and sticking with new habits. What’s great about this is that it takes into account the cumulative nature of progress. To excel at anything, sports, music, academia, a trade, one starts with getting good at fundamentals and builds on these fundamentals until after a period of time mastery is achieved. Unfortunately, leadership competency is not approached in this manner. In the corporate world, you may go to an offsite training class, attend a summit, read a book or listen to a podcast, but those events are treated as finite moments and not something to build on.
